![]() ![]() I have for some time now been in the process of substantially revising my work Objects 3.1: Solo piece, for Bb bass clarinet( 4 ), because after some considerable thought I found the notational strategies in the work, specifically in the partitioning systems, created too many notational redundancies in the final score and they didn’t give a cohesive set of outcomes. Objects 9.6 is different from the works in this series up to Objects 9.5 as it is intended to be the only work in this set written for the Bb bass clarinet, with the other five all for Bb clarinet and using material from Heather’s post “Dyad Multiphonics for Bb Clarinet Part II – a second look at Philip Rehfeldt’s chart”( 3 ). Only one of the other five miniatures has so far been written, Objects 9: One Superpermutation ( 2 ), and I recently wrote an analytical post on the work in #YIW15. ![]() ![]() Objects 9.6: Four Gestures is the last of an intended six multiphonic miniatures written in response to Heather Roche’s call for scores which focusing on works for clarinet and bass clarinet using multiphonics, with this work focusing on the post “… on close dyad multiphonics for bass clarinet”( 1 ). ![]()
